GENIL V COSTA DEL SOL - Southern Andalusia 40 over league

The 40-over Andalusia League came to a close last weekend, and it ended with a bang. Granada Genil put in a dominant performance, beating Costa Del Sol Cricket Club by 149 runs.

Having been put into bat, Genil scored a big total of 295 runs, including solid contributions of 42 and 46 from Richie and Sam, but it was an unforgettable 104 not out from Phil, the first century on our beautiful home ground by a GCC player that stole the show.

It was now the turn of the bowlers, and faced with a strong CDS batting line-up, it was Ricky who really stepped up with figures of 5-38 in a masterful display of bowling, backed up by a great performance by everyone in the field, including an absolute worldie of a catch from Colin. Well done to all those involved.

Genil marcaron 295 carreras, 42 de Richie y 46 de Sam y 104 carreras inolvidables de Phil, el primero en marcar 100 carreras en nuestra querida casa, el GOval.

Tocaba lanzar y Ricky saco 5 jugadores de Costa del Sol por solo 38 carreras con una atrapada incredible de Colin, enhorabuena a todos los jugadores!
