The new ground in Barcelona continues to be excavated and work remains on schedule for the pitch to be finished in time for some cricket later this season.
The ground, outside the city in Vidreres has received funding from the Cataluyna Cricket Association, Cricket Espana and a small grants fund from ICC Europe.
Work on the ground levelling started in early March and when completed the stadium will be used solely for cricketing purposes.
It is exciting times for Cataluyna cricket as the region send out their youth squad next week to a tournament in Corfu, Greece and their league programme is already underway with over half the teams in both groups already having played at least one fixture.
