Less than a month ago Torrevieja and Levante scored over 500 runs on the Torrevieja ground renowned for low scoring games.
Today Valencia Star and Torrevieja could only manage just over 100 runs between them.
Star batted first after winning the toss and struggled with the Torry bowling from the off. They were finally skittled out for just 99 runs. The openers Babar Butt and Hassan Nazir put on 35 for the first wicket but then after that the bowlers took control. C Wood finished with figures of six for 13 from his five overs.
Stars showed great resolve and put in an exceptional bowling performance to bowl out Torry for a meagre 24 runs. Only Kieran Wood hit double figures as nine of his team mates failed to trouble the scorers. There was also an amazing bowling effort for Hassan Nazir who took seven wickets for just nine runs.
The 75 run victory gave Star 16 points whilst Torrevieja took five points from the game.
Valencia Star (16 points) 99 all out beat Torrevieja (5 points) 24 all out by 75 runs.
