VALENCIA GREEN OUTCLASS MOJACAR
Valencia Green kept the pressure on Spoting Alfas and La Manga at the top of he Costa Blanca League 1 with a convincing victory over Mojacar.
Batting first Mojacar failed to reach three figures and were bowled out for 91 runs with Malik and Winter the only batsmen to reach double figures. The wickets were evenly spread amongst the Green bowlers with Attiq, Amaar, Ikram and Wasim sharing the wickets.
In reply Valencia Green reached their target but lost 4 wickets in the process to drop a crucial batting point. Dave Redpath bowled a great spell for theAlmerian club notching up two wickets for 29 runs off six economical overs.
This result leapfrogs Green over La Manga, and those two teams along with Sporting Alfas are ensuring an exciting conclusion at the top of the CB 1 League.
