Triskell Taverners and Madrid United II faced off against each other last weekend in the latest Madrid regional league. It was the first game since the withdrawal of IE CC from the league after the completion of just four matches.
Madrid United batted first and posted an impressive 286 for 7 in their over allocation. Rizwan Shah was the star of the show smashing an impressive 107 not out when coming in at number eight for United. Tasawar was his main ally has he also smashed a half century to put Triskell up against it at the halfway stage.
Triskell struggled to make any kind of dint into the Madrid United total and were finally bowled out for 136. Rizwan completed a perfect day of cricket for himself personally by taking three wickets for six runs, and Ahmed too chipped in with three wickets for just 14 runs.
Madrid United took maximum points from the contest, whilst Triskell added 5 points to their league total.
