Both sides provided an entertaining game of cricket in a low scoring game that eventually went the way of Torrevieja by a mere eight runs. Both teams were playing their first game of the season and it was the bowlers who took the honours for their respective clubs this time around.
Batting first Torrevieja failed to reach three figures as they were bowled out for a sub par 82. Bobby Nix and S. Mohammad took three wickets each for the visitors as Alfas looked to be in complete control at the half way stage. However Lee “Pops” Brown had other ideas as he returned match winning figures of 5-9 from his ten over spell to give the home side an unexpected victory.
