Two of Spain’s cricket islands go head to head this weekend when Tenerife CC entertain Menorca Cricket Club.
It is the first time that the team from the Gran Canarias have hosted the Balearic Islanders and two matches will be played on Saturday the 4th and Sunday the 5th of March.
The game on Saturday starts at 13.15 local time and the following day the match commences at 14.15. Both matches will be played at the Fañabe Football Ground behind the Hiperdino Supermarket. The game on Saturday will be 30 overs with the match on Sunday being a T20 affair. Everyone welcome and the entrance is free.
This is the first match of the Tenerife cricket season and they are looking fot other touring sides who may want to visit and play cricket on the island. Previous visitors include First Boys Cricket Club and Sutton Cricket Club from the UK.
