Newly crowned Lanzarote champions won an amazing game in Puerto Del Carmen against the Cobras this weekend.
The unbeaten club batted first and were tottering after losing four quick wickets right at the start of the game. Ruble Singh then came in and hit a scintillating 171 not out to take the game away from the competitive Cobras. The former La Manga player was well supported by Des Stonier who hit a credible 72 not out as the home side finished their over allocation on 300 for 6.
Cobras fought to the end and made a great contest of the game before running out of overs and failing just short by 33 runs. Jamie Rogerson hit a fine 81 not out and Singh, Evans and Cooper all had scores in the forties for the Cobras.
St George took the points and finished the year unbeaten with an 100% league record. They will now be invited by Cricket Espana to take part in the National League Finals in November at La Manga.
