ST GEORGES SLAY THE DRAGONS
St Georges secured the final semi final place in the Forty40 Lanzarote Cup with victory over The Dragons CC at Puerto Del Carmen. St George`s won the toss and were soon on fire, distinguishing the Dragons batting for a paltry 82 all out off 24 overs. Des Stoner and Pete Starmer did the damage with 3 wickets each for a combined 22 runs.
St George made easy work of chasing down the total picking it off in 14.1 overs for just the loss of 3 wickets. Cameron Selkirk hit a fine 27 in the George`s winning total. The winners will now play The Fisherman`s Inn whilst The Commitments will play the suprise package, The Collegio Hispano Colts in the other semi-final.
