St George got the victory they required to be confirmed as league champions and retain their title in the process.
Playing against Wolves CC, St George won the toss and elected to bat. Openers Des Smith and Steve Elsden got their side off to a great start, and this was consolidated by Andy French, Holmes and Stonier as the would be champions posted a total score of 261 for 3 off their over allocation.
In reply, the Wolves made a brave effort to chase down the score and made a large dint in meeting the large total. This was mainly down to Liebrandt, batting at nine, who hit a fantastic 69 out of the 207 all out that the Wolves finally posted.
All six bowlers took at least one wicket for St George, indicating the strength in depth of their team, and they will now be invited to the mainland later in the year to take part in the national finals competition.
