Valencia Star put in an impressive performance to pull off victory against Sporting Alfas II at the Woodbridge Oval last weekend.
Star won the toss and elected to bat. They posted a competitive total, ending their innings on 260 for 8. Awais Fazal top scored with 79 but was run out towards the end of the Stars innings and was denied the opportunity of three figures.
Alfas struggled with the bat and just managed one batting point, finally finishing all out for just 69 runs. All the Star bowlers had economical figures understandably, but the star performer was Arshad Mahmood who took three wickets for just 11 runs in his four overs.
Star took 20 points from the game whilst Alfas managed 5 points from the contest.
Valencia Star (20 points)260 for 8 beat Sporting Alfas II (5 points) 69 all out by 191 runs.
