SPORTING ALFAS II CRUSH THE INTELLECTUALS BY 110 RUNS
The Sporting Alfas second string produced another fine performance to see off a spirited challenge from The Intellectuals CC. Alfas batted first and secured maximum batting points before ending up with a final total of 306 all out off 44.3 overs. A swashbuckling 154 by Wasim was the highlight of the Alfas innings, although Raul can be proud of his bowling performance for the home side, bagging 4 for 44.
In reply, Intellectuals mustered 164 all out off 37.2 overs. THe vice captain for Alfas, Steve Cowley was the pick of the bluecap bowlers, finishing up with figures of 3 for 7. Alfas ended up with maximum points from the fixture, and the Intellectuals secured another seven points to their season’s tally.
