Valencia Stallions rode out of Alfas Del Pi with 19 points and a surprise victory over last years Premier League Champions Sporting Alfas last weekend.
Batting first the Stallions marshalled their innings nicely and finished with 258 for 9 from their 45 overs. They were indebted to a 98 run third wicket partneship between Shaheed and Yasir for the bulk of their runs.
Shahid was finally out for 88 and Yasir for 46 as the visitors looked to add a fine bowling performance to a solid batting one at the interval.
Alfas tried hard but struggled with the loss of wickets at key moments. Ben Fletcher smashed 68 but found little concrete support and his team were finally bowled out for 174.
The 84 run victory gave Stallions 19 points and Sporting Alfas took just 6 points from the game.
