Asked to bat SACC got off to an awful start Munoz falling for 0 and Spencer following shortly after for 11. Pennick and Crompton steadied the innings and 63 was reached before Crompton was bowled for 23. Fletcher joined Pennick and set about the second rebuild of the day. As usual SACC fielders played a massive part in the demise of City Lions as 8 players fell to catches with an equal amount missed. Crompton was the pick of the bowlers taking 3 for 37 from eight fizzing overs. Pennick and Laundon both helped themselves to a pair.
