SPANISH YOUNGSTER PICKED FOR MIDDLESEX UNDER 14 SIDE
Spanish Junior player Jack Hersh received some great news recently when he was invited to join the Middlesex Under 14 squad. The former Intellectuals and Sporting Alfas star is in fine form this season and he played his best innings in a Spanish shirt when he scored a cultured 73 against Mill Hill school at La Manga recently.
Jack, who represented Spain in the 2007 ICC Europe Division Two Championships, after Spain received special dispensation for him to be play despite being officially too young. He moved back to England for educational reasons a few months ago, but he still remains eligible to play for Spain.
He has been selected to play for Middlesex against Suffolk in the ECB Under 14 county cup in Group Seven of the competition. The other teams in the group are Bedfordhire, Buckinghamshire and Essex. Congratulations go out to Jack from all his cricketing pals and the national coaches of Spain.
