Message from Spanish player Ravi Panchal ..
Some of you may know the Club Cricket Conference in the UK and basically they are a organisation that brings the best club cricketers to experience what cricket is like playing at the top level. I was fortunate to be apart of this and have played games against Chris Gayles academy and other academy teams in London and teams from abroad.
I received a call from Simon Prodger from the (CCC) and he has offered me to fly out to Tanzania and play in a prestigious tournament all funded by the Tanzanian Association. The tournament is held on the 10th til 21st March in Dar Es Salaam (Tanzania)
It’s a great opportunity for me to go out there and play against some of the best, as players from across the world will be there taking part too. Myself and two other players from the UK will be representing the Club Cricket Conference and playing against the Tanzanian national side in a sixes and T20 tournament.
As I say it’s a great feeling to be selected and I would be silly to turn something like this down, a great opportunity and a chance to not to be missed. All the games will be televised so hopefully you will all tune in and watch the tournament go ahead.
It will be a great test for me to play in new conditions and playing with new players will be great to learn and share new skills and hopefully build this upon my game. The weather is set to be in the high 30’s so it’s going to be crazy playing cricket in such heat and humidity!
All packed and ready now to embark on this new experience, Can’t wait to go out there and get stuck in now!
Will keep you all updated on my Facebook page with photos and so much fun! Take care of yourselves and will keep in touch see you all very soon!
