Spain found out their fate for the very first ECC Tournament today and they will be one of the five teams in Group A. The seventh team to be drawn out of the hat they will be seeing action in the very first week. Their opponents will be a Scotland XI, Belgium, Sweden and Norway and the fixtures are scheduled to start on the 13th of September.
The event will take place at the superb Cartama Oval in Andalucia and is an ICC sanctioned event. Group B will consist of Hungary, Portugal, Romania, Austria and a Netherlands XI. Their matches will take place from the 20th September, also for one week.
The third week sees teams in Group C enter the competition and in this group are the Czech Republic, Finland, Germany, Italy and a top England amateur XI.
The winners of each group and the two best runners up will advance to finals week that starts on the 4th October.
