SPAIN REMAIN IN SECOND PLACE
Despite having a rest day Spain´s Under 17 team remain in second place in Group B of the Isle of Man tournament. There were wins today for the Isle of Man over Switzerland, and a suprise win for newcomers Austria over Germany.
As a result of todays matches Isle of Man are top of the group, having played two and won two, and then Spain are second courtesy of their win against Switzerland yesterday. Austria are third, also with two points but Spain have a better run rate at this point of the tournament. Germany and Switzerland are at the bottom of the group, both having played two games and lost two games.
Spain continue their campaign tomorrow in a top of the table clash with group leaders the Isle of Man. The match will take place at St Johns and the winner of tommorrows game will be the favourites to advance to Fridays final. Cricket Espana will be giving live updates on tomorrows game, hopefully t 5-10 over intervals.
In group A, Italy are confirming their pre-favourite ranking, with two convincing wins in consecutive days over difficult opposition. Belgium also got their first victory of the tournament with an easy 8 wicket triumph over Greece.
