Spain are privileged to be the host country for the ICC Women’s Qualifier Europe 2019. The event, featuring Germany, Netherlands and Scotland takes place at the fabulous La Manga resort’s cricket facility.
The event takes place between the 24th and 30th June, everyone is invited to come and watch this fantastic contest, entrance is free.
Cricket España have also invited two guests from the Mexican Ladies National team to come and visit La Manga for a couple of days and they will watch several opf the matches at the starting point of the competition. Sisters Erika and Aileen Fernandez are in Madrid for five weeks or so and the secretary of Mexican cricket contacted Cricket España to see if he could find them some games.
They turned up at Madrid´s Cricket Training Session last Thursday and equipped themselves well. It was at this point CE invited the two girls to La Manga to observe the qualifier that includes Germany, Holland and Germany. The resort at La Manga and the local club, La Manga CC have been superb in sorting out the logistics to ensure the girls can see some top class ladies cricket during their time here in Spain.
