Santa Perpetua made an impressive start to their Junior League campaign with a convincing victory over Raval Sporting by 155 runs.
Batting first, Perpetua amassed the super impressive total of 236 for 7 off their twenty overs. Opener Babar Khan hit a fantastic century, finishing with 116 runs off just 39 balls. He put on 80 for the first wicket with Hamza Nisar, who scored at a run a ball for his 24 runs.
Cameos from Sami Ul Rehman and Numan, who both scored twenty two added to Raval´s frustration. For Sporting Faizan Ahmed took three wickets for 46 runs.
In reply, Raval never really got close to chasing down the required totally and were all out for just 81 runs at the end of the thirteenth over. Opener Lovepreet Singh amazingly scored 51 of the runs achieved by Sporting, but none of the other batsmen made double figures. Sixteen extras was the second highest score, as the other ten batsmen for Raval could only muster 14 runs in total between them.. Jahangeer Ali Ullah finished with six wickets for just 16 runs, and Spanish international Nadim Hussain bagged two wickets from three overs for the cost of just one run.
