Santa Coloma Friends maintained their perfect record in Cataluyna Division B but they were made to fight every inch of the way by a very spirited Minhaj side.
Winning the toss, Minhaj elected to bat and posted a good score from their 25 overs. The majority of their 148 run total came from Asjad (58)and Sarfaz (38). Sheroz and Adil each took three wickets at crucial times to give Coloma a fighting chance at the half way stage.
Coloma’s openers failed to produce and with three early wickets done Coloma’s 100% record was in danger of falling. However, a fine 37 from Jamshead and supporting roles from Razakat, Zulqanain and Sulfyan saw Friends to victory in the last over.
23 extras did not help the Minhaj cause, but Sarfaz and Fahad made notable contributions with the ball. Friends now top the table with three wins from three, closely followed by Barcelona who also have a perfect record, having played one game less than the current leaders.
