Pinatar Pirates continued their good form with a solid victory over Madrid United.
United won the toss and elected to field.
The hosts were all out for 185 in the 31st over and were thankful for a fine 85 from V Singh that boosted their total. T Hussain took five wickets for just 11 runs in a fantastic spell of bowling for the visitors. The last six wickets fell for just 11 runs as Pinatar collapsed at the end of their innings.
Madrid United also struggled with the bat and failed to reach the score required for victory. Only three United players managed to get into double figures as the team from the capital were bowled out for just 125 in the 37th over. Paul Hennessey and Bittu Singh were the pick of the Pinatar bowlers, taking three wickets each for the hosts.
Pinatar Pirates (18 points) beat Madrid United (7 points) by 60 runs.
