Pinatar got back to winning ways with a strong performance over Levante CC of Valencia.
Pinatar batting first posted a total of 251 for 8 from their over allocation. With several first team players on duty with the National side at the Woodbridge Oval it was left to former international Sajid Ali to shepherd his team.
Opening the batting he hit a cultured 84 to be the centre point of the Pinatar innings. Elliot Banks and Bittu Singh both added thirties whilst for Levante Tim Lucas was the pick of the bowlers, ending with three wickets to his name.
In reply, the first six Levante batsmen made starts but none of them were able to make a telling score which was the defining aspect of the game. The visitors were finally all out for 162 some 89 runs shy of the required total.
Sajid Ali completed a fantastic day for himself personally by bagging three wickets for just 8 runs. Pinatar took 19 points from the game whilst Levante settled for 6 points from the contest.
