ORIHUELA SECURE SECOND PLACE
Victory over Intellectuals ensured Orihuela claimed second place in this years ECCL Development league
Batting first Intellectuals made only 129 all out off 34 overs despite some strong resistance in the batting line up from veteran Chris Horne (45) He was well supported by Ali Faulkner (36) but the rest of the Intellectual batsmen struggled to find any sort of form.
In reply Orihuela knocked off the runs with 6 wickets to spare with G Singh scoring a fine 48 not out. This win for Orihuela means that Madrid 2 and La Manga 2 can no longer catch the newcomers for second place.
Congratulations to Orihuela on their mid and end of season form and they look like they could be contenders for develiopment league champions in next years league.
