Cricket Espana Div 1 game on the 4th of July played at La Manga Golf Resort the Home of Cricket in Spain on a sunny day took place between the Home team La Manga CC who are sponsored by Murcia Villas and against Valencia CC and the captain of La Manga George Wambeek winning the toss again and electing to bat first.
A confident start by La Manga openers,Farhat who was promoted up the batting order after his performance last week and Sajad put on 20 before Farhat forced a thin edge to the Keeper and was out for 7,and then join by Munib who batted well before he was given out LBW for 46,he and sajad put on a partnership of 110 for the 2nd wicket. Joined sajad by Garside who put on a brisk 31 before he edged a Catch to the keeper, and shortly we lost Sajad for 57.La Manga batting went on getting runs with Neil Brook 27,Harris 19 and Talat 18 got La Manga to a good score of 267 for 8 in 45 over’s. The best bowlers for Valencia were Wasim 3 for 42 and Sarfraz 2 for 52 and the wicket keeper taking two catches and a stumping.
After the tea Interval Valencia CC turn to bat with a impossible task with a high score and two Spanish opening bowlers bowling for La Manga cc the batsman found it hard to get any quick runs of the Pair, the first wicket went down at 17 and a slow declined of Valencia batting order with only little resistance from Mudassar 18 and Abir 10 last out to give La Manga CC 19 points from the Game and a easy Victory. All the Bowlers for La Manga CC bowled well with Talat 3 for 30 off 9 over’s and tom Vine 2 for 24 and Iqbal was 9 over’s 3 maidens 9 Runs and 1 wicket.
