Cricket Espana followed their successful day of Street Cricket in Valencia with a day of the sport in Calle Casino de Reina in Madrid.
On hand to see youngsters and seniors playing the game were Danny Baker of Cricket4change and Ben Cajee from ICC Europe.
The event was the final part of their tour to assess the progress of the sport which had included a trip to a school in Aldaia, Valencia and a street cricket exhibition to a female softball team who had never played cricket before in another part of the city.
In Madrid, around 20 participants engaged in the games, played at a fast pace and lasting a maximum of twenty to thiry minutes each. Assisting with the day were members of Madrid CC, one of the other cities teams Madrid United had a strong presence, as well as some new faces who had never played this version of cricket before.
