MOJACAR SO CLOSE TO FIRST VICTORY
Just one run was the difference between Mojacar and their first victory of the season. San Fulgencio finally edged the nail biting encounter in a well spirited game
San Fulgencio batted first and scored 128 for 7 with Graham Shelton top scoring with 37 not out. This was a fine effort from the Mojacar players, who entered the match with just 7 players. King, Redpath and Winter can all be proud of their economical bowling spells which restricted SFL to just two batting points.SFL kindly allowed two of their players o field for Mojacar which also kept the runs to a minimum
In response Mojacar conjured up a score of 127 for 5 off their 40 overs with King completing an excellent day all round by scoring 29 not out. So near yet so far for Mojacar who have two league games left against La Manga and Madrid to try and prevent a winless league campaign.
