The curtain comes down on what has been a terrific first half of the season at the home of Balearic cricket.
We´ve seen club records set and broken within a matter of weeks, highest team score, highest individual score, maiden centuries, and to top it all winning the Balearic cup.
Special mention to James Davies for breaking the club record individual highest score twice following on from Jayden Levitt´s 187. James being the only Menorcan batsmen to ever hit a double century, 205 followed by 229*.
Also, major praise to Jake Cockroft who has really stepped up to the plate this season, scoring his maiden ton and bagging a 7 wicket haul. The future definitely is bright thanks to the emergence of the youth.
Finally in this last weekend of cricket prior to our summer recess we saw our top three batsman all score centuries. The first time this feat has ever been achieved at Menorca CC in 40 over format and i doubt it´s been a regular occurrence elsewhere.
