Andalucian Cricket T20 League – Game week 1
Back to Back matches between Malaga CC and Costa del Sol which lived up to its billing with two old foes with a history of hard fought contests already, keen to gain an advantage
over the other.
Match 1
The first game begin with CDSCC scoring 159 runs with Richard Lake staring with 95 runs for the costa boys. Malaga bowled very well to keep the run rate low and taking vital wickets in the middle order leaving them 7.5 runs an over for victory.
The CDS side used a variety of their side in attack to defend their total, giving most the team an opportunity to get some early action but ultimately the amount of extras contributed to the already moderate total which allowed Malaga CC to complete the task with 3 balls to spare.
Result: Malaga CC win by 2 wickets.
POTM: Richard Lake

Match 2
The tides were turned for the second game with Malaga CC batting first and setting a similar
total for the Costa team to chase after an improved spell of bowling with league debutant Matt Whyman taking 2 valuable and early wickets.
Needing 151 runs for victory the CDS batting order was changed up which gave club stalwart and all rounder, Iggy Higgins an opportunity to open the batting. The run rate was kept in reach throughout before he was joined by club skipper Richard Lake who assisted the sky blues in reaching their target in the eighteenth over with Iggy carrying his bat for a tidy 56 runs.
Result: CDSCC win by 6 wickets
POTM: Iggy Higgins
