MADRID UNITED SEE OFF LOCAL RIVALS

Madrid Uniyed got the better of their local rivals Madrid CC in the latest league confrontation at La Manga. United batted first and scored 241 for 9 off 40 overs. Rizwan scored a classy 88 and was well supported by the middle order as the hosts posted a formidable score.

Madrid, playing as the away side mustered 140 for 8 from their overs to lose by 101 runs. Cawdron top scored for Madrid with 39 but their batting was undone primarily by Humaryun who bagged 4 wickets for 24 runs off 7 overs.

Madrid United gained 18 points for their exploits, whilst Madrid added 6 points to their league total.
