Madrid Super Stars overtook Levante CC for third place in the ECCL Premier League with a comfotable 65 win victory in a game dominated by both sides bowling attacks.
Levante elected to field after winning the toss and with Sami and Bruno Nunges bowling in tandem the home side bagged three wickets in the first ten overs for just 52 runs.
Levante continued to take wickets at regular intervals until late resistance from Tasawar (39) and Imran Younus took the total to just over the two hundred mark.
Chasing 205 to win Levante started badly when Shakeel was adjudged leg before from the second ball of Ali Cheema’s first over. The left hander continued to trouble all the Levante batsmen and took 5-29 from his over allocation. Azhar did manage an half century for Levante, but it was in vain as the home team who were finally bowled out for just 139 runs.
Madrid Super Stars (18 points) beat Levante (7 points) by 65 runs.
