MADRID PLAY FRIENDLY AGAINST THE BRITISH EMBASSY

Madrid Cricket Club forged links with the British Embassy when the local club took on the officials in a cricket match in the capital city last weekend.

Madrid batted first and had notable contributions from Valencio Salema, David Stirton and Krishna Tummala in their total of 118 for 6. In reply the Embassy made 100 for 8 with both Whittaker and Bradford top scoring with 28 runs each.

This match did much to raise the profile of Madrid Cricket Club in the city and the club hope to arrange further matches against other cricketing embassies in the near future.
