Madrid II made light work of league newcomers Valencia Star, recording a comfortable 5 wicket victory in the latest ECCL Division Two League encounter.
Batting first the team from Valencia could only manage 139 all out. The spin of Joss Bancroft of Madrid proved elusive to the batting side and the Madrid man bagged final figures of five for 25 from his seven overs that also included a maiden.
In reply, Madrid always looked in control. Jayshiel batting at three, top scored with 36, but the real fireworks came from Samu who hammered 28 not out off just eight balls, including a six to finish the game.
Madrid took 19 points from the game whilst Valencia Star mustered 4 points.
