La Manga headed to Madrid with a youthful side and came back to Murcia with the points from a well earned victory.
The coastal side batted first and posted 205 for 8 from their overs allocation. Opener Stuart Simkins top scored with 74 whilst Tom Vine, batting at three, was also amongst the runs, posting 55 runs to his personal tally.
For Madrid, the opening bowler Sumon was the pick of the bowling attack, bagging three wickets for just 22 runs.
In reply, Madrid struggled and were eventually all out for just 134 runs. R Sengupta with 25 and J Healey with 23 top scored for the hosts whilst Tom Vine completed a great all round performance by taking three wickets (including a wicket maiden) for just 29 runs. Ian Hunt also shadowed Vine’s figures also taking three wickets for a cost of just 31 runs.
La Manga take 19 points from the game whilst Madrid score 6 points.
