MADRID I V LEVANTE I (ECCL PREMIER LEAGUE) MATCH TWO

Levante took the spoils in the second game to square the weekend double header and return home to Valencia with their first league win under their belt.

Once again Madrid batted first and they scored ten more runs than the day before, posting a score of 220 all out. Sam Teltrow, batting at three, was the standout performance for the hosts notching 48 runs. The other notable contribution came from the Madrid CC President Jon Woodward who added 28 runs to his teams total. For Levante Kyle Davies was the pick of the bowlers ending with four wickets for just 47 runs.

Levante batted with more application than the day before and consequently got the victory. Once again Bhavin Khakkad played a major innings and he ended the day on 95 not out. He was well supported by Scott Burchill who added 40 precious runs.

Levante finally passed the total with four wickets and just three balls to spare. The visitors from Valencia ended with 20 points from the match, whilst Madrid had to be content with 6 points from this particular game.

Levante (20 points) beat Madrid (6 points) by four wickets.
