MADRID CC EMBARK ON ENGLAND TOUR
Madrid Cricket club had its annual tour of England last weekend. The club played two matches over the bank holiday, facing Milton Keynes on Sunday 24th August and Stony Stafford CC on Monday August 25th.
The tour is the brainchild of Jonathan Woodward, a founding member of the club who hails from Stony Stratford. It is a great opportunity for some club members who are not part of Madrid CC’s Spanish league team to play a full game, bat up the order and get the chance to bowl in match conditions. It also gives club members the chance to experience typical British wickets, which puts players’ skills to the test after playing on artificial wickets all season.

Milton Keynes 201 for 7 (Gordon 128, Shahid 2 for 18)
