The Iberian Invitational Cup certainly did not disappoint today in an incredible contest.
Madrid Cricket Club showed their experience and youth to win the Cup in the 39h over.
A target of 326 runs to win in 40 overs was surely too many.
However, Madrid CC had different ideas and stuck to the task to get over the line in an absolute run fest.
Our very own Jitou broke the ground record scoring 157 runs and then took 5 wickets and he was on the losing side. How does that happen ?
Amigos CC. 325 for 6 from 40 overs
Jitou 157 runs, Chris John – Redhead 34 not out, Les Bickley 32, Paulo Buccimazza 31
Madrid CC 326 for 8 from 39 overs, Richard Wilson 93, Adam Langhans 84
Can’t ask for anymore and congratulations to Madrid CC
