City Lions proved much too strong for the Olot Tigers in the latest clash to take place in the Cataluyna League.
Lions won the toss and put the Tigers in to bat. The decision was the correct one as Olot were bowled out for just 53 in 17 overs. Opener Gurvinder top scored with 19 but no other batsmen managed to reach double figures. Mohsin took four wickets for just ten runs and Usama took three wickets in the one over he bowled for just two runs.
Lions made light work of chasing down such a sub par total by not losing a wicket in the process. Aamir ended up 37 not out and Farooq 9 not out as the Lions strode to victory.
Lions are now 10 points behing league leaders Cataluyna CC with a game in hand and it seems it is between those two teams for the bragging rights of Primera Liga A title winners.
