LEVANTE V SPORTING ALFAS I

Levante once again played second fiddle to Sporting Alfas I, but it was a Levante side that pushed the Albir based club for their victory this time around. 

Batting first Levante made 310 for 7 with an amzing innings from Nisar Mughal the centrepoint of the innings. Coming in with the score at 116 for 6 he was there at the end of the innings unbeaten on 98. 

With a large score to chase down Alfas relied on their Spanish internationals past and present. Opener Crompton kick-started the innings with a fine 75 and this was continued by the current skipper Christian Munoz Mills who hit 80. However, it was Faran Afzal, with an unbeaten 60 that saw his team home to victory.

Alfas are now in prime position to retain the ECCL Premier title, having not lost a game yet in this years ECCL Premier Division.

Sporting Alfas (18 points) beat Levante (7 points) by 5 wickets

Levante 310 for 7 – Sporting Alfas 311 for 5
