Last weekend title contenders Madrid Star headed to Valencia to take on Levante and went home with maximum points and even closer to winning the ECCL premier league in their debut season in the competition.
Star batted first and scored a very competitive 349 for 9. Top score for the Stars was Zeeshan who made a fantastic 106 for his team. He was well supported by Imran Younus who added 62 to his teams cause. Skipper Rizwan Shah (45) and Ali Akbar Cheema (39) to their teams total to ensure maximum batting points from the team from the capital.
In reply Levante could not repeat the heroics from their last match when they chased down 325 against Madrid United. Against a stronger bowling attack they were bowled out for just 200. Opener Tony Little top scored with a fine 61 to register his top score for the season.
The 149 run victory for Star gave them maximum batting points whilst Levante managed to add 7 points to their league total.
Madrid Star 349 for 9 (Zeeshan 106) beat Levante 200 all out by 149 runs.
