LEVANTE TAKE MAXIMUM POINTS FROM INTELLECTUALS

Levante arrived at the Bonalba ground in Alicante to find that the Intellectuals only had seven players and that the new wicket that had been purchased in the off-season was a long way from being the finished article.

With only seven runs required Levante’s former first team captain had to retire hurt with 24 to his name but by now the game was as good as over. There was still time for the Intellectuals to grab another wicket with the scores level, but in the end Levante coasted to a seven wicket victory with overs to spare.
