Lanzarote and Puerto Del Carmen Cobras kick started their campaign with the second game to be played in the Lanzarote league this season.
Lanzarote batted first and accrued 200 from their innings and were well contained by the Cobras who are largely made up of Junior cricketers on the island.
Opener F Kishmani was the main thorn in the youngsters side scoring a well crafted 71 before being caught of the bowling of Collins.
Under the guidance of Lanzarote Junior Coach Craig Trapps the youngsters put in a creditable performance reaching 168 in reply.
Most of the Cobra batsmen got starts but all of them failed to turn that into a major score, and the Lanzarote bowling remained tight throughout with Monish and Mirchandani taking four and three wickets a piece respectively.
The 32 run loss put Cobras at the bottom of the table whilst Lanzarote head into the table topper with St George´s in their next league encounter
