Lanzarote CC and Wolves CC piled on the runs at the Puerto Del Carmen ground last weekend but it was the Wolves that came aware with the points.
Batting first the Wolves put a massive total of 265 for 5 on the board from just 35 overs. Former La Manga star Ruble Singh top scored with 100 not out, whilst former Spanish junior Charlie Cook also made 45 opening for his team. Sandwiched in between these two innings was a fine 64 from the man in form for the Wolves Chhina.
In reply, Lanzarote made a great game of hit, mainly thanks to Monish, who made a fantastic 108. Unfortunately, he did not get any major contributions from anyone else in his team and Lanzarote finally ended 232 all out in the final over of their innings. Ruble Singh capped a great day for him personally by bagging three wickets, a feat also accomplished by his team mates Bruitjnes and Stenson.
The 33 run victory for the Wolves moved them into joint second place in the table with the Cobras, 20 points behind the current leaders St George. Lanzarote remain bottom of the table with just one win from five games.
Wolves (10 points) beat Lanzarote (0 points) by 33 runs.
