Lamanga v Torrevieja
After a five week break with no cricket La manga entertained a young Torrevieja side, on a very Muggy morning at la manga the home side won the toss and asked there guests to have a bat it did prove a good toss to win as the visitors toiled in difficult conditions and the la manga bowlers got on top and after a good opening spell from T Vine Torrevieja reached drinks at 31 for 3 .
There was some hope for Torrevieja as C Cruchard and P Harvey put on 42 for the fourth wicket but after the second Drinks brake wickets regularly fell the innings closing at 103 all out ,the pick of the la manga bowlers were T vine and I Hunt with figures of 3 for 21 and 3 for 17 .
La Manga began the innings with a good start from both openers with 31 on the board C Cruchard finally getting one to nip back .S Simkins top scored with 65 not out and the winning run was hit in the 27 th over.It has to be Said that the Torrevieja captain put complete faith with his young bowlers and they really didn’t let him down the pick of these was C Wood with fine figures of 5 overs 1 for 9.
To sum up it was great to see so many young players enjoying there cricket .
