LA MANGA TAKE MAXIMUM POINTS FROM ALBOX

La Manga took maximum points against Albox as the race for prime position in Costa League 1 intensified. Batting first La Manga posted a mammoth score of  368 for six wickets off their full quota of overs. Spanish opening bowler Talat Ali showed he was turning into a competent all rounder with a scintillating 106 not out and he got resounding support from the Spanish Junior opener Joel Brook (51) and Faras Mahmood (51 not out).

The final score of 368 for 6 was always going to be too challenging for Albox, but the Almerian side did not manage a single batting point as they were skittled out for 68 by the twin pronged attack of Talat Ali and Tanveer Iqbal.

La Manga play against Alfas in a crucial game at the Woodbridge Oval on July 17th, and Valencia Green also remain strong contenders for top spot in the CB 1 league as well. They still have return fixtures against Alfas and La Manga, so at this moment in time any one from three teams can still top the league.
