La Manga continued their winning ways with a comfortable victory over premier league newcomers Alcorcon.
The Madrid based side, in the premier tier for the first year, after beating all opposition out of sight in last yars development league are finding things much tougher this season as the level of cricket has raised a notch or two
La Manga won the toss and elected to field. Alcorcon rely heavily on Spanish International Tariq Ali but his poor form continued as he only managed five runs off a teriffic delivery from Atif Ali.Bowling in tandem with his brother Talat the La Manga opening bowlers tore through the Alcorcon batting to leave them desolated at 78 for 7.
A 46 run partnership for the eigth wicket gained the visitors an extra batting point but they were soon all out for 137 in 37 overs.
The La Manga batting capitalised on the low score and passed their total with the loss of just 5 wickets.La Manga took 18 points from the game whilst Alcorcon mnaged just 4 points
