La Manga Resort will play host to the annual international Over 40’s event between Spain, UK, Holland and Denmark in a series of T-Twenty and one day matches.
Since the La Manga CC tournament last week groundsmen have been working around the clock to lay two new grass pitches. The scene is now set for a great week of cricket between four competitive teams.
In recent years the tournament has been held in Copenhagen, Rotterdam and Newport and Spain are hoping to emulate the high standards from previous tournaments and put on an excellent event at the Murcia resort.
Admission is free for all games next week with one rest day scheduled for a potential trip to Cartegena as well as the resting of aching bones.
