It is with great sadness that Cricket Espana have receieved the untimely and sad news that its former President Ken Sainsbury has passed away after a long illness.
Ken was instrumental in getting Cricket Espana accepted into ICC Europe in 1992 (ECC as it was then) and he received the prestigious ICC Catch the Spirit Award as one of the most recognised volunteers for Cricket throughout the world.
He continued to support and follow Cricket Espana after retiring from the directorate and he was made a lifetime member and honorable Vice President at a recent AGM. His company SIS insurance continued to be a regular sponsor for Cricket Espana throughout the years and he will be sadly missed by the cricket fraternity, here in Spain, and overseas.
