Man of the Match: Shakeel – what a match-winning performance from Shakeel – with the LMTCC innings progressing steadily on 71 for 3, up steps man-of-the-moment Shakeel and with a devasting opening over dismisses three batsmen with a hattrick of wickets, finishing off with five wickets for just 12 runs.
It should be added that this was very much a team effort with everyone, masterly skippered by Jon Brown, playing their part in a memorable victory that saved the Intellectuals from ending an unprecedented season without a win. Hats off, a round of applause and congratulations to the whole team for what was truly a grand performance!
