INTELLECTUALS TO PLAY SPORTING ALFAS JUNIOR ACADEMY

INTELLECTUALS & SPORTING ALFAS JUNIORS TO PLAY TWENTY20 MATCH  

This weekend five of the Spanish league teams will play matches at the Woodbridge Oval. First up on Saturday the Sporting Alfas first team will take on Albox CC.The Alfas team look to have a strong team on paper and Albox will have to be at their absolute best to get something out of the match.

Sunday afternoon, the other Albir based league side, Sporting Alfas II play La Manga CC in what should be a much closer affair. Alfas have the two Spanish Internationals, Wasim and Faran playing on Sunday, because of work commitments on Saturday, which may give them a slight edge, but La Manga are a match for anyone on their day, and will return to the Woodbridge Oval with a point to prove after losing heavily on their last visit North in February.

Arguably, the most interesting match of the weekend pits the Sporting Alfas Junior Academy against Intellectuals CC of Alicante. Alfas can call on the experience of the Spanish Junior captain Christian Munoz and fellow internationals Charlie Johnson and Jack Hersh. The Intellectuals will be hoping wicket-keeper batsman Iain MacInnes guesting against his home club can deliver and that Simon Hersh will win the father v son battle.
